Wow! Can you believe that it’s Thanksgiving already?

God has been reminding me recently to give thanks for all those who have influenced my life. These are people on whose shoulders I stand, the people who have had a significant impact on my life. So, this Thanksgiving I’m working on writing some of those people a simple note of thanks.

Speaking of thanks, are you thankful for the weather? I know that may be the farthest thought from your mind as you prepare for Thanksgiving and wonder if you and your family will be able to do what you had planned. Read this verse from a Chris Tomlin song Indescribable;

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

So, with the pending Winter Storm Cato about to bear down on the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, do you echo those words about our God? You are amazing God.

My thoughts and prayer are with you. Be safe. Enjoy your family. Give thanks because we truly have an AMAZING GOD!
