OK, so the FIRST Weekend to Remember event since COVID-19 struck is behind us! With the number restrictions, COVID guidelines, and ‘rusty’ staff and volunteers, did the event still have impact for Christ? You bet! We ended up with a final attendance of 500 people, and there were THREE professions of faith and THIRTY recommitments to Christ. Here is just a selection of some of the top comments:
This conference 100% changed our marriage. We came into the conference in a really dark place and needed the Holy Spirit to speak to and convict both of us on the damaging things we were doing in our marriage. He absolutely did, and both of us are excited to get home and apply what we learned and continue on our journey towards oneness! An absolutely life changing experience that will benefit me, my wife, our marriage, our kids, and our community.
It has made us both understand the need to recommit our covenant relationship and to move our relationship off auto-pilot.
Exposed what I need to be doing more and I was not ready for that, but I am so happy that I now know.
It has opened both of our eyes to each other’s spiritual needs! Seeing each others’ “need” to have Jesus in our marriage. And finally, dying to ourselves and becoming anew (couple), that serves each other through Christ Jesus. Amen!
Ingrained in us truths that we need to be reminded of, and reminded us to keep our vows always in view. We are newly married, and it gave us lots of tools to start using in our marriage.
This was exactly what the wife and I needed! We have read some of the FamilyLife books and have plenty of tools at our disposal, but we still tend to get a bit disconnected at times. This was like a second honeymoon for us! Thank you Family Life!
