So the Chicago “I Still Do” event is ‘in the books’ as they say – with almost 4000 guests attending last weekend. Along with some amazing marriage reconciliation stories, we are most excited about over 40 individuals reporting salvation experiences! Though we love the ‘warm fuzzy’ stories, it is the lives and family’s impacted for eternity that matter most!
There are two more events planned – Portland, OR on August 23 and Washington, DC on October 4. If neither of these locations work for you, consider finding a local simulcast event on October 4th in your area http://incastevents.com/event-near-you/ or even plan with your local church to host a simulcast! We’d be glad to help talk you through how to make that happen.
I’d like to share with just a few of the many comments from the Chicago ‘I Still Do’ attenders:
- I was dragged here. I was angry. But my heart softened enough to ask my wife for forgiveness, and I could renew my vows willingly and heartily, albeit tearfully.
- It helped me to take hold of hope again- woke me up to the importance of sacrificially loving my husband despite mistakes and hurt feelings. It gave me a challenge to forgive as Christ forgave me- and to love “til death do us part!”
- You did open heart surgery on my stony heart!
- It has given me a desire to be more protective of my marriage. To love my wife unconditionally, so my kids see what a family God designed is. For the next generation!
- It restored our promises and put Jesus back in the center of it! Thank you. This was better than we could have ever imagined!
