We are now almost a week out from Eric’s surgery and three weeks out from the fall that broke both arm bones up by the wrist. Surgery day was VERY long, due to the case before Eric’s taking the surgeon longer than expected. Eric was actually on the prep table awating the OR for over three hours – thus the crazy face under the surgical cap! Overall, though, we were thankful to get the operation done and not have to rescheduel to anther day. I brought home a very loopy, uncomfortable Eric who spent the weekend in rest and recovery. Yesterday was our follow up with Eric’s surgeon, and things are looking good! Eric is now the proud owner of a plate and 8 screws holding his wrist together. He is already in a removable, velcro splint instead of a cast! We are thankful to be on this side of surgery and heading toward healing!
In FamilyLife news, we would ask you to be in prayer for our Fall Weekend to Remember season. We are in full swing! There are two events this coming weekend, five the next (including Louisville and Pittsburgh), eight the weekend after that (including another Pittsburgh), and so on (Detroit 11/15-17; Hartford 11/22-24; Philly 11/22-24). One of the big distinctions that mark us is that each of our marriage getaways are also clear gospel presentations. Pray for healed and growing marriages, but even more so pray for lost souls to find the Lord!
