Thank you for praying for the event! We had nearly 400 attendees from 32 states, Canada, & New Zealand representing hundreds of churches come down here to Little Rock to learn more about leading step-family ministry. Here are just a few comments from those who attended:

Huge kudos to FamilyLife Blended for talking about the hard stuff that no one in ministry wants to talk about. I love what Ron Deal said in Q&A that our posture will never change regarding the theology of these hard issues. But, we still have to talk about these concerns and issues because they are real and the people who are casualties of the messy need to know there is hope!
My husband and I took over teaching our Blended family class in January so we are new and have been winging it. I loved going to Ron’s session of launching your ministry. We now have a clearer picture and can’t wait to talk to the staff.

It was so eye-opening – what a wealth of wisdom and insight. As an elder at my church, it definitely changed some of my perspective on how to approach marriage ministry. First, I shouldn’t assume I know people’s stories or experiences, especially in blended families. A cookie cutter approach won’t work for most couples. I need to ask good questions of couples and listen to them to help them process and come up with effective strategies rather than tell them what to do. Getting some tools to help them look below the surface to understand what is happening below is so encouraging. Learning to help them think through all the blended family dynamics was particularly helpful. Thank you!
