A note from Cru headquarters in light of the recent hurricanes:
“As of Tuesday morning, we are grateful to report the safety of Cru staff and volunteers in the Caribbean and throughout the southeastern United States. All reports we have received indicate that there have been no serious injuries.
While many staff members are temporarily without power in their homes, we have no reports of staff being permanently displaced from their homes.
Cru’s global headquarters in Orlando felt the brunt of Irma early Monday morning with minimal damage to the buildings and property. Full power has been restored and the headquarters will resume full operations on Wednesday.
Please continue to pray for the millions of people, across several states, who have been personally affected by both Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. As God leads, we encourage you to support the relief efforts currently taking place and the restoration efforts in the months to come.”
Did you know that Cru has a humanitarian relief division? Over the course of 25 years of operation, GAiN (Global Aid Network) has leveraged strategic global partnerships and the service of dedicated volunteers to relieve suffering through humanitarian aid in disaster situations such as earthquakes in Nepal and Haiti and Hurricanes Katrina and Matthew. GAiN serves people around the world as part of Cru’s diverse, 190-country network. GAiN has teams on the ground working with people in the aftermath of Harvey, and teams assessing the needs in places affected by Irma.
