We wanted to give you an update on Charissa’s health testing. She has now finished two different scope exams – had one yesterday morning. We are waiting on test results, but everything appears normal visually. This it truly great news, as we are glad not to find any major abnormalities, but it leaves us still wondering the cause of her pain. There are still some tests from those two scopes that we are waiting for results. Those results should come in about two weeks. At that point the doctor will advise us on what our next steps might be. We had really hoped to have some answers before heading to Speech and Debate Nationals (NITOC) May 22, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. At this point we have two main prayer requests that we ask you to lift up for Charissa:
- That she will be able to compete at her best for the full week of NITOC – stomach pain has almost knocked her out of competition during previous weekend tournaments; this tournament is 6 full days!
- That we and the doctors will know the right steps to take to provide some answers before Charissa heads to college in early August – moving away from home is already stressful, we would like to send her in the best health possible.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for our girls – especially Charissa during this transitional time!
