Last week I wrote about how FamilyLife® seeks to support full time Christian workers in the U.S. and around the world. One of the examples I used was an Art of Marriage® event being held by FamilyLife Zambia. Well, it turns out that FamilyLife staff are not the only ones using our resources in this far away country! Consider this awesome ‘thank you note’ received from Living Hope International:
“Living Hope International is an organization bringing hope to orphans in Zambia through the provision of the Good News of Christ, health care, education, a family setting, skills development, etc. We have 31 boys and girls from ages 6 – 18, and will grow to approximately 100 kids in the next three years. Most of these kids come from a horrific background of abandonment, abuse and neglect. They are truly “hopeless”. As we seek to bring them hope we are taking steps to equip them to be Godly young men and women. This year we are incorporating “Passport2Purity” into the mix. We will take 2 kits and 20 extra Travel Journals and, after having sessions with our Country Director and the house mothers, co-lead the experience with our in country staff. We want to allow them to go over the material first so we can be sensitive to any Zambian cultural nuances, but plan to go through the material pretty much as is.
