Did you know that personal marriage struggles is one of the leading reasons that foreign missionary workers return to the U.S? Or that those same kinds of struggles are often key reasons that full time Christian workers (at home or abroad) step down from their work? Here at FamilyLife we are well aware that those who spend their lives serving others often need someone to come alongside and serve them! For years we have offered full and partial Pastors Scholarships to our Weekend to Remember events. Also, at certain locations across the country we offer weekends with built in ‘pastor focused sessions’ to address the special challenges of marriage in full time ministry. Information on both of these can be found on the FamilyLife website.
Because of the FamilyLife and Cru presents in so many foreign countries, we are also able to offer support to full time workers around the world.
Consider this quote from Zambia. “Our Art Of Marriage event begins tomorrow afternoon. We’ll be having 20 Zambian couples and 3 American missionary couples. I already see God working in this a look forward to sharing our experiences with this and our trip here overall. It is clear that there is a TREMENDOUS need for encouraging marriages of those doing the hard work of caring for God’s Kids!” If our tools from FamilyLife help these 23 couples survive and thrive in their families and work who knows how many Zambian lives could be affected!
